Straight from the airport to Hraunfossar – about a 2 hr drive north bypassing the Nation’s capital Reykjavik. The tired soul from the redeye caught up and after a quick power nap in the parking lot, we were rejuvenated with the power of falling water.

Next is a short drive to Krauma Spa. At this point we haven’t had a meal yet since landing in the early morning. Luckily, there was a restaurant at the spa but even luckier was a food truck just outside of the spa steps so we can have one of those famous Icelandic hotdogs. Easiest decision all day.

The spa website do recommend a reservation be made for the hour you want to go in. Didn’t seem ideal to us to pinpoint the hour of arrival so we walked in without a reservation and all was fine.
